Meteora Lands in Toronto

Linkin Park
Air Canada Centre
January 24, 2004
The lucky ones down in the pit pressed forward, the less-fortunate ones in the seats twitched their legs nervously as a lineup of roadies took to the edge of the stage, ready to pull the giant "Meteora" curtain down. And finally, after what seemed like hours of mediocrity, Linkin Park arrived.

Passions flamed and fists flew into the air as the guitars crunched out the first few chords of the teenage rage-a-thon. The pit became a dangerous place to be if you were anything less than a tall and heavy guy. Chester and company did what they do best on a stage created to suit their needs; jump and run around to each and every corner of the stage projecting their energy right into the crowd, who threw it all back and them some.

Highlighting the concert was Toronto's new local hero "Alex," picked randomly out of the crowd to play guitar on "Faint." The all-star finish to the night saw members of Story of the Year, Hoobastank and P.O.D join Linkin Park on stage for "One Step Closer."

Before they took the stage you could taste the anticipation in the air. After, everyone left the ACC feeling the urge to either fight or fuck. Now that's what I call a good rock show.
