Michael Buble

Album Title: Let it Snow EP
Release Date: 2007
Rating:
Genre: Jazz
In a season that’s wrought with Christmas albums, it’s great to hear Canada’s own Buble made a contribution to the mix. However, a bit more originality would have been nice and a full length LP instead of an EP that only lasts through the first gift under the tree. Let it also be noted that a similar EP titled Let it Snow was released around Christmas 2003. Aside from those facts, Buble is terrific and classic like Sinatra is classic and it’s amazing what he’s done for the crooner scene today. The warm blanket vocals shine best on “Grown Up Christmas List” and “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”, which are remarkable in their interpretation and vocal breaks.

As with the Christmas compilation released by Josh Groban as of late, producer David Foster has also had his hand in the creation of Let it Snow and manages to work his talents on the piano into “Grown Up Christmas List”.
