Immaculate Machine

Album Title: Fables
Release Date: 2007
Genre: Indie
As a follow up to 2004's Ones and Zeros, Immaculate Machine return with Fables, a series of short stories describing their daily lives. Joining Immaculate Machine's united trio on Fables is Kathryn Calder of the New Pornographers and backing vocals by Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand.

Blending tight breathy harmonies with down right unescapable guitar driven melodies, the album holds you down for the count. You can definitely hear the influence of the 60s throughout Fables with sounds full of reversed guitars, rhodes piano, string arrangements and synth pop; a traditional warm mix of all the elements of the past. With titles like "Old Flame", "Small Talk" and "C'mon Sea Leg", Fables accomplishes its series of tales in the lives of the storytellers, Immaculate Machine.
