Hayley Sales

Album Title: Sunseed
Release Date: 2007
Rating:
Genre: Singer-Songwriter
Think of sipping a cool glass of water after a day wandering the sunny countryside and you'll be in the mood for Sunseed. Sales would know, she farms blueberries on Vancouver Island when she's not recording. The calming lyrics of "What You Want" are just as refreshing as its melody line. Sales' is reminiscent of Norah Jones when she broke out with her now classic album Come Away with Me and has also been said to be a female Jack Johnson.

"Keep Drivin'" brings a reggae vibe and "Wished You Were Here" has a touch of bossa nova; which shows off Sales' diversity in her performance. If you're looking for a smooth, floaty CD you can chill to after a long day, this is the CD for you.
