The thing about screaming lyrics is that's all a person can hear is screaming. Now, undoubtedly, this is half the point. There's nothing that pumps a person up quite like frantic drumming combined with frantic screaming. Hailing from Douglasville, Georgia, screamo quintet Norma Jean are quite fond of, that's right, screaming. Redeemer is the band's third full-length, and boasts some of the best panic-inducing cover-art of the past year. Fans of Norma Jean know that a crow attacking a young girl is a more than appropriate representation for the band's music, and those that know that will have no problem getting right on into Redeemer. This record definitely ain't for everyone, but on those nights that a spot of headbanging seems promising, might as well pop Redeemer into the old stereo.
