Venus Hum

Album Title: Big Beautiful Sky
Release Date: April 2003
Genre: Electronic/Pop
I've only heard of people discovering greatness, now it's my turn. Venus Hum are an electronic group from the country music hub of Nashville, USA; what a combination. Annette's unique voice is reminiscent of Bjork but she maintains her own crescendo as the beats slip and slide through the potent lyrics; I'm convinced she'll raise the bar in dance music with the right production. 'Hummingbirds' stands out because of its illuminating synth waves and stirring chorus line, one of their most universal. 'Big Beautiful Sky' is best as a club mix; 'Alice' is purely refreshing, much softer than the other tracks. I could go on, but then I'd be painting the whole picture – take a listen and see what it leaves on your own canvas.
