Be Good Tanyas

Album Title: Hello Love
Release Date: October 10, 2006
Genre: Folk/Roots
How happy a day when we can speak so fondly of homegrown talent like Be Good Tanyas. These ladies produce genuine tracks about the human experience, and the vocal harmony alone is enough to know they were destined to sing for a living. Vibrant and subtle instrumentation doesn't overpower the Tanyas vocals, especially during the banjo intro on "Ootischenia", yet they leave room for the instruments to shine during breaks. More a cappella work is also enchanting throughout the CD to refresh in variety and the addition of fiddle and bass makes this a modern country-blues record with a twist only the Tanyas can deliver. Definitely a treat for Tanyas' fans, and a much needed addition for those who eat up unique vocal talent.
