Album Title: Voices Have Eyes
Release Date: November 26, 2005
Genre: World/Dub
Based out of Toronto but featuring artists from all edges of the globe, it's no wonder that the sound of eccodeck is an amalgamation of world music. Grabbing hold of everything from Latin to Indian to African grooves, the six-piece band gives Voices Have Eyes a unifying factor underneath the vocals of the five different singers featured. Under the leadership of producer Andrew McPherson, eccodeck manages to make music from different continents work together and remove the fact that thousands of kilometres separate its origins. Voices Have Eyes is the second full-length offering from eccodeck, and while it's not the sort of album you blast on a road trip, it offers a soundtrack to some deep relaxation. Everyone can use a little relaxation now and then, especially when the eighth track is quite possible an ode to Chuck Norris (I know it's says "sweet set no worries," but Chuck Norris is just so awesome).
