Fox Confessor Brings the Flood is Neko Case's fourth studio album, and it is a broad mixture of everything that makes us love music. It has it all; beautiful lyrics, artistic instrumentals and sweeping vocals. Case's voice is like a musical instrument, it blends so well with the music itself.

Songs like "Hold On, Hold On" and "Dirty Knife", sound like background music from a movie. The title track as well as "Margaret vs. Pauline" and "John Saw That Number", tell stories, almost epics. And every song on the album pulls you in and holds you there until the song ends.

Case has a style like so many bands and singers before her, yet she stands on her own. There is just something about her voice and the melodic lyrics that is hypnotic.
