Crystal Method

Album Title: Legion of Boom
Release Date: January 13th, 2004
Genre: Electronic
Unfortunately for Crystal Method, the electronica thing just isn't as fresh and new as it once was. Consequently, unless you're a die-hard fan (which I'm not), you can appreciate the subtle nuances in various bleeps and bloops (which I can't), or like music only as background noise (which I don't) it will be hard to appreciate Legion of Boom for anything more than another Crystal Method album that sounds much like the Crystal Method albums that came before it. Not even the charismatic Wes Borland (ex-Limp Bizkit guitarist) or the brilliant Rahzel can rescue Legion of Boom from the depths of ho-hum techno. It's gritty, it's industrial, it's eerie…it's also a little boring.
