Like so many American bands these days - and days past, and certainly days to come - Cerulean has got its sound firmly floating above the land of Brit rock and all the melodic glory it has to offer. On No Sense In Waiting, the trio's third full-length album, Cerulean doesn't uncover any new territory, but they certainly know every nook and cranny of the country they're exploring. This allows the band to avoid any major obstacles, but at the same time, it also doesn't allow them to overcome any either. A pleasant listen from start to finish, Cerulean has got a Doves thing happening in more than just the number of group members that both bands have. Considering that Doves is one of the British bands that has yet to really crack the North American market, Cerulean has planned their route well: they're taking the path not yet too well traveled.
