Cold Dead Hands

Album Title: Cold Dead Hands
Release Date: September 18, 2004
Genre: Power Pop
With a name that conjures up images of such goth rock stalwarts as Alien Sex Fiend, Fields of Nephilim and Color Me Badd, you'd expect Cold Dead Hands to be some weirdo stab at introspection for the trench coat sect. But no, Cold Dead Hands are actually a power pop bands in the Spoon or Cheap Trick mold. Who knew? This Toronto three-piece still have a ways to go but this demo shows potential. Vocalist Ian Strung has a decent step of pipes but might be well advised to mix the vocals a bit differently to add a few more layers of growl. Otherwise, a decent introduction.
