Brian Wilson To Release and Tour Lost Album

Published: 2004-08-10
In what had become known as the most famous lost albums of the rock era, Brian Wilson's "Smile" has become more than an album. Recording of the album was cut short following the release of 1966's "Pet Sounds" with the project being deserted.

Two days after the September 28 re-recorded release of the album "Smile", Brian Wilson will launch a 21 city North American tour. The concerts will consist of Wilson performing the album in its entirety as well as some songs from the Rhino release of Brian Wilson's "Gettin' in Over My Head". And of course Wilson will perform some tunes from his old Beach Boy days.

Wilson debuted the long awaited "Smile" in the UK earlier this year.

So far the only Canadian date on the tour is an October 7 performance in Toronto at Massey Hall.
