Oh Holy Knight

Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones have ruled the rock 'n' roll world for many years. On December 12 Jagger will become a Member of the Order of the British Empire. Sir Mick will join fellow British rockers Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Elton John as Knights of Rock 'n' roll.

Jagger was originally scheduled to receive knighthood last year but obligations of a world tour conflicted with plans to meet the Queen. The Stones just completed a world tour that covered 114 cities in 15 months. The tour grossed the Stones over 300 million dollars making the tour the highest money maker ever.

Accompanying Jagger to Buckingham Palace for his date with Queen Elizabeth II will be Jagger's 90 year old father Joe.
