While most bands worry that more people download than buy their material, the Libertines are quite the opposite. The band has offered up a bootleg of an April performance at the Rhythm Factory in London, England. The album, called 'Piss Me Off', contains sixteen Lib tracks, including a few off of their upcoming self-titled release.

The songs that made their way on to the 'Piss Me Off' bootleg that will officially be released on 'The Libertines' on August 30th are: 'Can't Stand Me Now', 'Last Post On The Bugle', 'Don't Be Shy', 'The Man Who Would Be King', 'Campaign of Hate', and 'What Katie Did'.

Featured on 'Piss Me Off' is Peter Perrett, once a member of punk band the Only Ones. Perrett even contributes an Only Ones track to the bootleg; he sings 'Another Girl, Another Planet'.

All sixteen songs on 'Piss Me Off' can be downloaded for zero dollars at

Also available on the internet is material from Pete Libertine's side project Baby Shambles. Even though there is a website called, the band's music cannot be downloaded there (oddly enough). To get your ears on twenty-four of Pete's side project's tracks go to

The Libertines will release the first single off of 'The Libertines' on August 9th. The track is called 'Can't Stand Me Now' and apparently is about Carl and Pete Libertine's turbulent relationship.

And once again, "huge thanks to Richard for his bootlegging skills".
