Interpol See The Light

Another buzz band is preparing to release their sophomore album, which means another opportunity to see if it's possible to shoulder the burden that's been placed on so many bands. Interpol's second album called 'Antics' will be available for judgement on September 28th. The band worked on the 10 track record with Peter Katis, who also engineered and mixed their last album.

In an interview with Billboard, Interpol member Daniel Kessler spoke of the mood of 'Antics', saying: "People may say some songs aren't as dark."

Knowing that much about the album, it's still safe to say that 'Antics' will be far from the sound of Belle & Sebastian or the Flaming Lips. What's 'not dark' (aka light) for Interpol anyways? The song titles certainly don't seem too happyÖ

To catch Interpol perform this summer, tickets to the Curiosa festival will be needed. Curiosa (and therefore Interpol) will be hitting Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre on August 9th. It's been said that the band will be playing songs off of 'Antics' during their performances. If you were unable to secure tickets to Curiosa, do not fear! Interpol has plans for a North American tour sometime later this year (that rhymed).

The track-listing of 'Antics':

'Next Exit'
'Take You On A Cruise'
'Slow Hands'
'Not Even Jail'
'Public Pervert'
'Length Of Love'
'A Time To Be So Small'
