Chris Martin Writes Song For Embrace

Published: 2004-06-16
Embrace songwriter Danny McNamara writes what comes naturally – positive songs. But on Embrace's new album something was missing – a hole that McNamara could not fill. Good friend and new father Coldplay's Chris Martin came to the rescue. "There was no out and out love song," said McNamara, "you could say their was a 'Gravity' shaped hole waiting to be filled." Martin originally wrote the song "Gravity" for his band Coldplay, but when the song wasn't right for the band, Martin called his friend Danny McNamara. It was just what was needed to fill the hole in the album.

"Gravity" will be released on August 30 as the first single from the new Embrace album. The album will follow on September 13.
