BRMC, Vons & Datuns' 'North American Club Tour'

Published: 2004-06-16
For two dates only, Canada will play host to four of rock's most up and coming bands. Vancouver and London are the lucky cities that will experience what it's like to have Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the Von Bondies, the Datsuns and the Living Things all on one bill. The tour is quickly shaping up to feature the best line-up of the summer (excluding all the festivals of course).

The way that this line-up came to be is that all of the bands are part of Lollapalooza. BRMC, the Von Bondies, the Datsuns and the Living Things will fit these extra dates in between their performances at Lolla – all of the bands are set to play Day 1 of the festival. The bands decided to have their 'North American Club Tour' stop in cities where Lollapalooza is not going. The tour is co-headlined by all four acts, so each band should have equal playing time. Hopefully the bands have also scheduled some time for sleeping.

The Von Bondies, the Living Things and BRMC all come from the United States, with the Datuns as the odd band out. The four members of the Datsuns come from New Zealand; also know as the land of hobbits, elves and Dark Lords.

While the Von Bondies and the Living Things have only released one album, both the Datsuns and BRMC have already moved onto their sophomore efforts. Out of all the bands, the Living Things debut was the record most recently dropped. 'Black Skies in Broad Daylight' was released yesterday (June 15th) on DreamWorks.

The 'North American Club Tour' Canadian stops:

July 13 Vancouver – Richard's on Richards
August 6 London – Call The Office
