Ted Leo Tours and Records

Published: 2004-06-14
Indie rockers Ted Leo & The Pharmacists are heading out on a North American tour this month that will continue on in to July. The band has three Canadian stops scheduled on the 23 date tour that kicks off on June 18th. Although Ted Leo does the best he can to secure all-ages gigs, the Toronto date is unfortunately 19+ only. The band will be touring in support of their latest album 'Hearts of Oak'.

'Hearts of Oak' is Ted Leo & The Pharmacists third full-length record together. The album was released in January of 2003 on Lookout Records to rave reviews. This is not the first record that the band has won the praise of critics with. Their sophomore effort 'The Tyranny of Distance' helped to place the band at the top of the heap of American indie-rock bands.

At the moment Ted Leo and his Pharmacists are busy working away at what will become the band's next LP. The band has been cooped up in a NYC studio laying down tracks since May, and started to mix the songs early this month. The new record is rumoured to have an expected release date sometime this fall. To read Ted Leo's thoughts on recording, visit the band's site at www.tedleo.com, and go to the 'What Else?' section.
