A Northern Chorus Canadian Tour

Published: 2004-06-10
Indie-pop band A Northern Chorus will be playing a series of dates in Canada this June. So far just eight shows have been announced, but look for more dates in the summer. The band will be playing in support of their most recent full-length called 'Spirit Flags'. The album was released in May of 2003 on Sonic Unyon Records.

Although A Northern Chorus hasn't put out a record for a while, the band has by no means been taking a rest period. They actually just returned from the UK, where they toured as a group for the very first time overseas. Even though ANC did not go through the British hype machine, the group managed to play a goodly 11 dates all around the country.

Hailing from Hamilton, Ontario the members of ANC first got together as band in 1999. They then went on to release their debut 'Before We All Go To Pieces' in 2001 on a small indie label. Canada was brimming with joy at the beautiful, melodic dream pop the band gave to the world. With the addition of strings and woodwinds, the six members of A Northern Chorus continued to develop their own sound. With that line-up came 'Spirit Flags', the group's sophomore effort.

A Northern Chorus' upcoming dates:

June 12 Toronto – Healy's
June 14 Thunder Bay – Apollo's
June 15 Winnipeg – Collective Cabaret
June 16 Regina – Easy Alibi
June 17 Calgary – Broken City
June 18 Vancouver – Media Club
June 19 Vancouver – Railway Club
June 22 Saskatoon – Amigo's
June 25 Toronto – El Mocambo
