The Corb Lund Band's Summer Dates

Published: 2004-06-08
The Corb Lund Band will be making the rounds of Canadian music festivals this summer. The band will be attending festivals in Ottawa, Sudbury, Calgary and Saint John, to name but a few places.

In addition to gearing up for their summer performances, the members of the Corb Lund Band will be heading down to Nashville to record material for a new album. The band will be working with Harry Stinson (Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett) on what will become the Lund Band's fourth studio album.

The story-telling element of Corb Lund's lyrics has served him well in both Canada and the United States. Lund has even garnered comparisons to Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. 'Five Dollar Bill', the last album that the Corb Lund Band released, was nominated for a Juno in 2003 and appeared on many 'Best of 2002' lists.

All of the stories that Lund's lyrics tell come from his own personal experience. This particular cowboy is the real deal; Lund's ranching roots go back four generations. He even tried his hand (literally) at steer riding during his youth in southern Alberta. His music is as authentic country as it gets.
