Leon Redbone Re-Issues Older Albums

Published: 2004-06-03
On July 20 Rounder Records will re-issue three of Leon Redbone's albums. All three albums feature appearances from some of the industries top performers. The 1985 release "Red to Blue" has Dr. John and Hank Williams Jr. In 1988 Redbone released "No Regrets" in which new age bluegrass banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck is heard along with Jerry Douglas. In 1994 the release "Whistling in the Wind" features appearances by Merle Haggard, Ringo Starr, and Roger McGuinn.

Movie buffs may remember the movie "Elf" from last year; Redbone contributed his voice to a talking Snowman in the film.

Redbone will be touring through the end of the year.
