Mike Ford Teaches Us Canadian History

Published: 2004-06-03
"Sometimes with a song you can express some of the emotional content of a life, an element that's hard to find in history books and statistical data", said Mike Ford. Ford's newest album which will be released June 4 contains songs all relating to Canadian history and environment.

Ford will perform songs from the album at Hugh's Room in Toronto on June 4. "Stars Shone on Toronto" can be purchased through Maplemusic.com. A $1.50 of the $15 cost of the album will go to the "Tooker Gomberg Greenspiration Fund". The fund works to support Canada's environment. Ford has a song on "Stars Shone on Toronto" in memory of Gomberg.

Mike Ford uses his music to not only entertain but also to teach history to Canadian school children.
