Fan clubs have always been a part of a star's life, but with the price of CDs and concert tickets on the rise, artists are looking for ways to ensure fan loyalty. Their answer is a fan club that ensures member only perks. Among the most popular of these perks is to offer deals on concert tickets. The tickets that are set aside for fan club members only are not always the better seats. But for the fans who do not want to spend the night at a ticket sellers or stand in long lines for several hours, the trade off is worth it.
Taking the concert ticket deal a step further, Philadelphia concert venue owner Comcast-Spectator is offering a VIP Club for $200 a year. VIP status ensures members with guaranteed premium seating for all concerts in the summer concert season. Concert ticket prices for the top named international stars can easily top $100 per seat.
Artist's fan club prices run from around $20 a year to as much as $50 or $80 for the Fleetwood Mac fan club. Other perks offered to fan club members can include fan only websites, give-aways, and fan club member only CD's.
