McLusky’s Tour Is Bigger Than Your Tour

Published: 2004-05-26
Welsh trio McLusky will be kicking off their North American tour on June 4th in Seattle. The band has just one Canadian stop scheduled on the 13 date hike across the continent. Playing along with McLusky will be Oceansize, a band hailing from Manchester. Tickets for the show at the Horseshoe Tavern on June 17th are $9.00.

McLusky will be touring fresh off the release of the brilliantly titled album 'The Difference Between Me And You Is That I'm Not On Fire' which was just dropped on May 18th. Often compared to the Pixies, McLusky create the same guitar driven rock as the aforementioned 80s band. However, the new album has been called rawer than their previous two releases. Surely the boys have not yet crossed over into industrial goth rock yet though.
With their debut in 2000, McLusky first got a chance to sharpen their claws, and to perfect their sound for their sophomore effort. 'McLusky Do Dallas' released in 2002, was generally more warmly received by music listeners and spawned two hit singles including 'To Hell With Good Intentions'. The album even ended up on 'best of the year' lists in both North America and the UK.

We will have to wait and see whether McLusky can pull of what they did with 'McLusky Do Dallas' once again with their new record.

That Canadian stop once again:
