Iron & Wine On Tour

Published: 2004-05-25
For two dates only, Iron & Wine (aka Samuel Beam) will bring his earthy acoustic rock to Canada. The border crossing of Iron & Wine will occur during the last days of June, after which he will continue on his merry way across the United States. Beam will be touring in support of his second album 'Our Endless Numbered Days', which was released at the end of March.

For all of his first recordings, Sam Beam chose to lay down tracks in his own house, creating songs that featured only him and the instruments he could play. This is how Iron & Wine's first album came about. Hailed as a low-fi masterpiece, 2002's 'The Creek Drank The Cradle' was distributed by the legendary Sub Pop records. The record managed to bring Beam notoriety outside of his native Florida.

When Iron & Wine was ready to move onto the next album, Beam decided to head into the studio instead of recording at home in his usual way. The result was 'Our Endless Numbered Days', a cleaner, sharper batch of songs. Although the album wasn't created using a four-track, the warmth of Iron & Wine's music was retained.

Iron & Wine's tour dates:

June 28 Montreal – La Sala Rossa
June 29 Toronto – The Horseshoe Tavern
