Sir Paul McCartney Gets Loud

Published: 2004-05-18
"We love animals and so we're sorry about Mr. Pemberton's cat," said a spokesman for Sir Paul after Pemberton complained of him and the cat being disturbed by the musician's practicing. Apparently Mr. Pemberton and his cat are not rock and roll fans. Sir Paul rented the Millennium Dome - at a sum of 250,000 pounds - for three weeks to use as a rehearsal hall for his upcoming European tour. It seems that McCartney's practicing disturbed residents in the Tower Hamlets in east London across the Thames River from the Millennium Dome.

Sir Paul is one of the industry's most respected musicians, but the east London residents were not amused by the free concert. Environmental officials have promised to monitor noise levels coming from the Dome when Sir Paul is rehearsing.
