The Arcade Fire Signs On With Merge Records

Published: 2004-05-10
The Montreal band The Arcade Fire has just signed on with the independent American record label Merge. The Arcade Fire has followed in the footsteps of bands like Hot Hot Heat, The Constantines, and The New Pornographers by signing a record contract with an American label.

The Arcade Fire will not release their debut full length album with Merge until September. In the meantime, The Arcade Fire will be touring mostly in the US with one show in Toronto.

The new Fast Ferry from Rochester to Toronto should be up and running by then so hardcore Arcade Fire fans can hop a ride across the lake and see the band in Rochester as well.

June 22 Rochester, NY – The Bug Jar (Monroe Ave.)
June 23 Toronto – Lee's Place
