Bif Naked And Co. Rock Across The Nation
Today Vancouver sees the launch of a tour that features some of Canada's hottest rock acts. The 'Naked Aggression Tour' is headlined by Canada's rock queen herself, Bif Naked, with Out Of Your Mouth, the Salads, and Social Code supporting her on her trek across the country. The tour hits 28 cities across Canada over a two month period.
Bif Naked released a greatest hits album titled 'Essentially Naked' last summer, featuring songs from all of her previous records. Her last proper album was called 'Purge' and featured the single 'Tango Shoes' which received some impressive airtime on the nation's music station.
Joining Bif on her tour is a slew of relative new comers to the Canadian music scene. Hailing from Calgary, Out Of Your Mouth recently burst onto the mainstream music scene with a cover of Madonna's 'Music', which is currently climbing its way up the charts.
Next are the Salads, a group comprised of five metalheads from Toronto that have been a presence on the college charts ever since their second album 'Fold A to B' was dropped in 2003. They have opened for quite a few impressive Canadian artists including Our Lady Peace, Gob and I Mother Earth.
And last but not least, from Edmonton comes Social Code a hardcore group starting to get their footing. Their first single is called 'Whisper To A Scream' (which is also coincidentally, a cover), and it's starting to make a few appearance on the American charts. Social Code will release their major label debut 'A Year At The Movies' later this year.
