Pretty Things Release

Published: 2004-04-30
A little known band outside of Europe, Pretty Things were the inspiration and innovation for many bands that became a part of the British Invasion in the 60s. Pretty Things were the pioneers for the sound that later spawned an entire musical movement. Pretty Things operetta S.F. Sorrow in 1968 was the inspiration for Pete Townsend who wrote the rock opera "Tommy".

On April 20, a 25 song compilation CD of the Pretty Things' music was released. "Come See Me" is the first ever comprehensive "best of" collection of Pretty Things music. The compilation includes songs that were later covered by fellow British rocker, David Bowie.
