NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams Features To Write Love on Her Arms Tonight

To Write Love on Her Arms, a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide, will be featured on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams tonight (September 12, 2008). Founder Jamie Tworkowski and Renee Yohe will be discussing the organizations passions; to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

Jamie Tworkowski, 26, left his job to pursue a dream to help others like his friend who needed help and inspired Tworkowski to start To Write Love on Her Arms. He ended up printing t-shirts to help pay for his friend's recovery and found people in his local Orlando, FL and elsewhere wanted to follow his lead.
"With TWLOHA, we're trying to talk about things that tend to stay silent. We're talking about problems of pain and we want people to know about the hope and help that exist in the face of these issues. We want people to know they're not alone in the places they feel stuck. Maybe more than anything, we believe that people need other people, that we weren't meant to do life alone. We're told that nine million people will see this story on NBC, so we're obviously thrilled at the idea of so many people being invited into this conversation" says Tworkowski.
