American Idol winner Jordin Sparks recently made a vow of chastity based on her Christian beliefs. The 18 year old singer wears a purity ring to remind herself of her commitment to preserve her virginity until marriage. Sparks informed Starpulse.com, "I don't want to give away bits of my soul to lots of different guys - I want to give all of myself to the right man on the right night, and the right night is my wedding."
Sparks is one of many teen celebrities who are reminding themselves of their Christian beliefs and making a vow to God to preserve their virginity until marriage. The Jonas Brothers and singer Miley Cyrus also wear purity rings as reminders.
Sparks is currently supporting Alicia Keys on The As I Am Tour supporting Keys' third studio album As I Am until the tour wraps up on October 31, 2008. Sparks is also doing a summer tour with Jesse McCartney, which will stop in Toronto on August 27, 2008 at the Sound Academy.
