Joshua Radin Tours Behind 'We Were Here'

Published: 2008-07-11
Musician Joshua Radin is touring with a slew of up-and-coming female singer-songwriters. Radin got his start when his friend, actor-director Zach Braff heard a demo of his song "Winter" and decided to use it on his television show Scrubs. Since then his tunes have also appeared on other TV shows like Eli Stone, North Shore and Grey's Anatomy. His first and only full-length album We Were Here was released in 2006 but he has released a few EP's including the iTunes exclusive Unclear Sky that was released earlier this year.

Touring throughout the summer Radin isn't heading out alone. The first half of his tour from July 15- August 10 will feature Grammy nominated singer-songwriter and pianist Vanessa Carlton best known for songs like "A Thousand Miles" and "Ordinary Day". Carlton's most recent record, Heroes and Thieves was released in 2007. Carlton will be joined by singer-songwriter and trumpeter Alexa Wilkinson who recently released her third album Lions. From August 12 until the end of the tour on August 28 Radin will be touring with Nashville native Erin McCarley who recently made a splash at this year's SXSE festival in Texas and Montana native Hana Pestle whose self-titled EP hit stores this spring.

Here are the details on their Canadian tour dates:

August 1, Montreal, QC Studio JPR
August 2, Toronto, ON Lee's Palace
August 18, Vancouver, BC Biltmore Cabaret

I've been lucky enough to see Josh Radin perform a couple of times with one of my favorite new artists, MEIKO -- he's a true talent - and has a great personality!

Check out Meiko when you can too!
