Massive Attack Completing Fifth Album

Published: 2008-06-27
Trip hop formation Massive Attack announced to BBC recently that their upcoming as-yet-untitled album has been written and recorded and just needs to go through the mixing stages before it is done. The follow up to 2003's 100th Window has been a slow-process in the making, much like all their previous albums, and member Robert Del Naja (otherwise known as 3D) says that is the way the finishing touches will be placed as well. As such, no exact release date can be projected at this time and no direction, either musical or lyrical, can be accurately described since the mixing process has not even been completed yet.

Massive Attack's music is often found in movie soundtracks. They have been together since 1988 and perhaps their most popular album was 1998's Mezzanine, which includes the songs, "Tear Drop", "Angel" and "Dissolved Girl".
