Wide Mouth Mason, comprised of three boys from the Canadian prairies, is pulling full steam ahead. Although it's been a while since the band was active, things are about to change. As previously reported on Soul Shine, the guys have lined up a summer tour and they have recently decided to add more dates. The band will be travelling right across this great country of ours, stopping in a dozen Canadian cities.
In addition to their upcoming tour, Wide Mouth Mason has finally headed back into the studio to record the follow up to 2002's 'Rained Out Parade'. At the moment there is no news on when the band is planning to release the upcoming album.
WMM's best known song may be 'Smile', which received ample play time on Much Music and radio stations across the country. The single was lifted off of the band's third album, 'Stew'. Wide Mouth Mason first appeared on the Canadian music scene with their self-titled debut album, which was released in 1997. The band has had moderate success in Canada, but has yet to break the notoriously vicious American market.
Here's Wide Mouth Mason's revised tour schedule:
May 24 - Ottawa, Ontario
June 6 - Banff. Alberta
June 9 - Lethbridge, Alberta
June 10 - Calgary, Alberta
June 12 - Vulcan, Alberta
July 8 - Grand Prairie, Alberta

July 30 - Halifax, Nova Scotia
July 31 - New Glasgow, Nova Scotia
