Barenaked Ladies Serve Up Ships & Dip

Published: 2008-06-16
Canadian Alt-rockers Barenaked Ladies are getting set for their fifth Annual Ships and Dip cruise. The band has been a Canadian mainstay since their album Gordon hit store shelves in Canada in 1992. Though the band had already scored massive hits with tunes like "Be My Yoko Ono", "Brian Wilson" and "Shoe Box" in Canada it wasn't till the 1998 album Stunt and the single "One Week" that the band hit the big time south of the border. Their most recent record Snacktime! released earlier this year is the band's first children's record.

Taking place February 1-6, their week at sea starting in Miami and cruising around the Caribbean will consist of more than just lounging by the pool and hitting the buffet. A slew of bands will be playing on the ship including Boothby Graffoe, Great Big Sea, The Weakerthans, The New Odds, Butterfly Boucher and of course the Barenaked Ladies.
