Keane Completing Third Record

Published: 2008-06-16
English rock band Keane have been working on the follow up to their sophomore disc, Under the Iron Sea, for over a year now and it looks as though things are almost complete.

Keane's upcoming third album does not have a confirmed title or a release date (though tentatively scheduled for late 2008), but it will be out for certain on Interscope Records. Tim Rice-Oxley, the group's piano player revealed on Keane's official website recently that the upcoming effort is 'nearly done'. The trio recorded the songs for the new disc both in Berlin and Paris and produced it with Jon Brion. Jesse Quinn, who has played bass and electric guitar with Keane on various live performances since 2007, also provided his services on the upcoming album.

At the moment, no tour dates are scheduled in support of the record, but more information on the band and what they are up to can be found here: and
