Red Hot AIDS Charity Compilation Features Sufjan Stevens, Feist, Death Cab for Cutie, and More

Published: 2008-05-29
This year's charity compilation as part of the "Red Hot" series will be including a collaboration between Canadian indie darling Feist and American Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard, NME reports. The compilation album, which comes out every year in order to raise funds for AIDS research, will also reportedly feature contributions from acts and artists such as Sufjan Stevens, The National and David Byrne. This will not be the first time that Byrne has donated his time and music for the "Red Hot" musical projects as he has been a part of several of them in the last few years. No precise date or title has been confirmed for the 2008 version of the album, but a time frame as early as this fall or early winter of 2009 has been suggested.

Last month, Feist came home a 5-time Juno Award Winner for her work on her 2007 record, The Reminder. Meanwhile, Death Cab for Cutie released their seventh studio album Narrow Stairs earlier this month.
