Superchick Release 'Rock What You Got'

Published: 2008-05-26
Chicago rockers Superchick are releasing their first new studio project in three years on June 24 entitled Rock What You Got. The band's own Max Hsu (tobyMac, newsboys) produced the album and it is said to be "a rock-o-tronic sound, an electro-punk mash-up of slashing guitars, pulsing keyboards and grit-pop vocals."

Superchick will be offering a preview of the new album via a digital EP at iTunes beginning May 27. The Rock What You Got EP includes "Crawl (Carry Me Through)", "Hold" and "Hey Hey". Bassist Matt Dally says of the new release, "This album is about empowerment and hope…don't be afraid to cross the lines that people put up to limit you when you know you are better than that."

The Rock What You Got tour will be coming this fall with Stellar Kart, Article One and Starlit Platoon joining Superchick, but for now Canadians can catch the band here:

June 19, Clarkston, MI – DTE Energy Music Theatre
June 26, Shirleysburg, PA – Creation 2008 East
July 24, Gerge, WA – Creation 2008 West

The band is also offering a free download of the song "Alive" at For more information please visit
