Chicago rocker Brooke Barrettsmith is releasing her self-titled debut album on August 19. Barrettsmith is best known for being in the Top 40 on Season Five of American Idol along with friends Chris Daughtry, Mandisa, and Katherine McPhee. Her debut album is produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Jeremy Camp, Kutless, The Almost) and Rob Hawkins (Fireflight, Jackson Waters) and her first radio single "Farewell" is currently impacting listeners everywhere.

Barrettsmith just recently toured with Grammy-nominated artist Pillar on the "Fore the Love of the Game" tour featuring Wavorly and Building 429 and she will be heading out on "The Million Voices Tour" this fall with BarlowGirl and Jimmy Needham. Barrettsmith will also be playing on July 5 at the Cornerstone Festival, a popular Illinois music and art festival.

Barrettsmith says of her music, "I hope these songs inspire listeners to be bold and not ashamed of their faith in Christ because that's a huge part of my live ministry—clearly sharing the Word of God and encouraging people to know Him better."
