Calgary Folk Festival Brings Sam Roberts Band, Bedouin Soundclash

Calgary is gearing up for their 29th annual Folk Music Festival this July 24-27. The festival is taking place at Prince's Island Park and features more than 65 artists on seven stages. The fest will feature a slew of Canadian and international talent. Night one will feature the Weakerthans and Aimee Mann and will be headlined by the Sam Roberts Band. July 25 will feature the Be Good Tanyas and Andrew Bird amongst others and be topped off by reggae band Bedouin Soundclash.

Josh Ritter and the Duhks are just some of the bands playing before Blue Rodeo on night three while Conor Oberst and Ani DiFranco end off the last evening of the festival. Aside from the music, the festival will play host to the Tim Hortons Family Area that will feature crafts, games, sports and educational activities for little music lovers.

Kids get in free while adults pay $130 before June 21 and $160 after that for all four days. For more information please visit www.calgaryfolkfest.com.
