Underoath and Xbox Partners in Online Gaming Venture

Published: 2008-04-29
Grammy-nominated band Underoath are teaming up with Xbox to allow their fans to play the video game console's biggest games in real time on the web. Gamers will be able to play "Call of Duty 4" and "Halo 3" with members of the Florida six-piece on Thursdays from 6-8pm who go online via Xbox Live as part of the "Game with Fame" series.

The group is participating with heavy fervour in support of the multiplayer video game venture by posting blogs with gaming-related themes, taking on "gamertags" to make it easier for music and video game fans to find them online and allowing people to ask the members questions on topics related either to their music or to the gaming promotion.

Xbox is doing its share by featuring Underoath in its news, community and emerging artists' pages and providing exclusive content about the band, who are working on the follow up to 2006's Define the Great Line. The musical act has been in the studio recording the currently untitled effort and will continue to do so throughout the month of May, taking breaks to participate in the "Game with Fame" event. An autographed drum head being used for the recording of this current album, along with Underoath merchandise, will be given away at the end of the process in conjunction with Xbox Live.
