Swedish formation Peter Bjorn and John are working on their fourth disc, which is currently untitled, but for which they are hoping for a fall release. The album will not feature any vocals and thus will be all instrumental, though a fifth record, which the trio has already begun planning as well, will have vocals, Chartattack reports. This new album is being prepared for a 2009 release.
As for the current instrumental effort, very few details are known, though a few tentative (but not official) titles have been suggested on the indie rock group's website, http://www.peterbjornandjohn.com.
The last album Peter Bjorn and John came out with was 2006's Writer's Block, which spawned the hit "Young Folks". The group has been together since 1999, but only started to gain mainstream success with "Young Folks", which has been used in several television programs and advertisements.
However, vocalist Peter Moren just released a solo album at the beginning of the month entitled The Last Tycoon. Moren will be touring Europe and North America in support of the April 8th release, including three Canadian dates at the end of this month.
Here are Peter Moren's solo dates:
April 23, Montreal, QC – Cabaret Musee Juste Pour Rire
April 24, Toronto, ON – El Mocambo
April 28, Vancouver, BC – Biltmore Cabaret
