Alanis Morissette Gets Naked

Published: 2004-04-27
Two of Canada's biggest exports will be embarking on a massive tour together later this year. Alanis Morissette and the Barenaked Ladies will kick off their 'Au Naturale' tour July 13th in Cleveland, Ohio. Morissette and the Ladies will alternate closing the show for the 22 stops scheduled. At the moment there are no Canadian dates listed on either artist's site, but the last date of the tour may take place in Toronto.

Speaking about the upcoming shows with BNL, an excited Morissette said, "I look forward to being with a group of people who will not snicker to themselves when I say the word 'about' or 'eh'". Something surely every Canadian can relate to and has experienced at least once in their lifetime.

Morissette heads out on tour in support of her upcoming album 'So-Called Chaos'. The album is to be dropped on May 18th, just one month before the tour commences. 'So-Called Chaos' will be Alanis Morissette's fourth studio album; her last was 'Under Rug Swept' which was released in early 2002. She has already released the first single off the new record, titled 'Everything'. The video, featuring Alanis with her new 'do, can be seen on Much More Music.

Meanwhile, the Barenaked Ladies have already dropped their latest, called 'Everything to Everyone'. On the new album the five-piece decided to record with Ron Aniello (Lifehouse, Jars of Clay) for the first time. The record is the group's first in nearly four years; the newest since the not-so-successful 'Maroon'. The band has already released the second single off of the album called 'Testing 1 2 3'. As always, many of the songs on 'Everything to Everyone' hold BNL's good old Canadian humour within their bars.
