Sum 41 Records New Album

Published: 2004-04-26
Pop-punk band Sum 41 is recording their fourth album. The Canadians have been recording in both Los Angeles and Toronto, massing up material to include on the new record. The album is scheduled to be released in late summer/early fall of this year.

There is also new material from Sum 41 featured on the compilation 'Rock Against Bush Vol.1'. The record is a political outcry from various bands, mainly Americans, against the current President. Sum 41 also recently recorded with the godfather of punk, Iggy Pop. The group collaborated with Pop on 'Little Know It All', a track found on Pop's newest album 'Skull Ring'.

The band's last album was 2002's 'Does This Look Infected?' which held some of Sum 41's biggest hits, including the first single off the record 'Still Waiting'. 'Does This Look Infected?' helped to propel the band into further stardom worldwide. The group first hit it big with the 'Fat Lip/Pain For Pleasure' single off of their second album, which helped them find success both in Canada and south of the border. Sum 41's debut album was released on indie label Big Rig, and went relatively unnoticed by anyone, including those in their home country, until the band found success with major label release 'All Killer No Filler'.
