Former Beach Boys’ Drummer’s Debut to be Re-Released

Published: 2008-02-12
The late Dennis Wilson, former drummer for the Beach Boys, will have his debut solo album see the light of day once more this year after being unavailable for purchase for over 10 years. Pacific Ocean Blue was initially released in 1977 and was the first and only work Wilson came out with on his own and is now set to be reissued by Legacy Recordings on May 13, 2008. The 30th anniversary edition of the record will be made up of 2 CDs, including the original track listing, in addition to a bonus track on the first disc. The second disc will not only feature rarities and b-sides from the sessions of Pacific Ocean Blue, but will also contain songs that came out of Bambu, the unreleased follow up to Wilson's debut.

The limited edition version of Pacific Ocean Blue will be released in another format as well: as a 180-gram vinyl on record label Sundazed.
