Pop songstress Madonna has officially confirmed the date that her currently untitled new record will be available for purchase as of April 29th.
The American-born entertainer is finishing up work on the album, of which little is so far known, except that she plans to follow its release with a world tour. Last October, Madonna left her record label Warner Brothers so her upcoming 2008 disc will be her last of new material with the company, which also plans on releasing a Madonna 'greatest hits' compilation at the end of the year.
Madonna subsequently signed on for a 10 year contract with Live Nation, a pop concert promoter which also signs record deals and is involved in many other areas of the music industry. Last December, it was announced that Madonna will be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the ceremony that will take place this March.
