Michael Buble, Feist Nominated for Brit Awards

Published: 2008-01-21
Last week, the nominations for the Brit Awards were announced and these included four Canadian artists in several categories. Michael Bublé, Rufus Wainwright, Feist and Arcade Fire were the lucky Canadian acts to be recognized by the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards, and are in the company of such buzzed-about acts like Mika, Leona Lewis and the Artic Monkeys this year.
Both Bublé and Wainwright have been nominated for the Best International Male category, while Feist is our national representative for Best International Female. Arcade Fire was given a nod for Best International Group and Best International Album for last year's Neon Bible. Britain's own Paul McCartney will be paid tribute to with the Brits' Outstanding Contribution Award for his 45-year plus musical career.

The ceremony will take place on the 20th of February in London, England at the Earl's Court and will be broadcast live on British television.
