OK Go Planning Next Record

Published: 2008-01-07
American band OK Go are just about to get off the road and start writing their next album, which is currently unnamed and will be their third full-length.

OK Go plan to go into the studio this summer, so the songs need to be composed, arranged and rehearsed before then. While no producer has been determined, the foursome is not opposed to working with Tore Johansson, with whom they worked on their most recent effort.

The group will play a few more tour dates this year but will definitely not be scheduling anything close to the hectic and extensive dates they have been doing for the last couple of years so that they will be able to concentrate on writing new material.

OK Go shot to fame in 2006 when their video for "Here it Goes Again" became a YouTube phenomenon, having been viewed on the site over 27 million times to date as result of the original dance choreography done by the entire group on a series of treadmills. The single was taken from their previous 2005 record, Oh No, which OK Go toured for almost 3 years since its release.
