50th Annual Grammy Award Nominations Revealed

Yesterday, December 6th, the Grammy Award nominations were announced with two artists receiving over five nods each. The ceremony will take place next year, on February 10th, 2008 in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on American television.

Kanye West and his latest album, Graduation, has the greatest number of nominations at 8, for categories including "Album of the Year", "Best Rap Album" and "Best Rap Solo Performance".

England's Amy Winehouse is in second place in terms of the number of Grammy nods, with 6, including "Album of the Year", for her record, Back to Black. Other acts with more than one nomination are the Foo Fighters, the White Stripes, the Beastie Boys and Paul McCartney.

Canadians with nominations this year are Feist for "Best New Artist" and "Best Female Pop Vocal" and Michael Bublé for "Best Male Pop Vocal" for his song "Everything".
